Sorry I'm in Australia and don't speak dutch but I've just bought a pair of 541 mfb speakers and am not sure how to connect them.
Can someone help me with the connection layout for the 5pin din socket if I'm going to use a preamp with rca outputs.
Any help would be appreciated.

pin 2 (middle) is earth
pin 5 is right channel
pin 3 is left channel

Consider the speaker as amplifier and look for the layout on
http://www.hardwarebook. info/DIN_Audio (remove the space before info)
you can use either the IN or OUT connector, they are interconnected.

If you use the conventional method with the cable between the speaker, you should make a converter from DIN/cinch (RCA) for one side, and swith one speaker on left and other on right. The sensitivity should be set at 1V if you use a home preamp, or higher if you use a prof. preamp or amp.

If you make two separate cables from the amp to each unit, then it does not matter on which channel you connect, either pin 3 or 5 or both.

Use well-shielded cable with no too high capacitance. you can even use thin coax specially when you use the 1Volt level and long length. (more than 5 meter)
