hello from france,
i own a 22AH308 amp and a 683 receiver, both of them have MFB outputs.
i do not own any MFB speaker.

i bought a separate amp (JVC M3030) and am looking after a good preamp.

in the meantime, do you think that i can use the MFB outputs of one amp as preamp output ?
i have heard about a signal which is sent to the speakers to "wake them up"
but i do not know if this signal would damage the amp or the "normal" speakers (philips too) that i want to use.

thank you in advance.

gil

Hello Gil,
yes you can without a problem.
De MFB speaker has a detecition circuit that detects an audio signal on the cable and if there is one it switches on the speaker. No extra signal coming from the pre amp.
